I noticed that sometimes my shrimp arch their backs. Why is this?
Just asking these questions to get a better idea on how the shrimps work.

Seriously, I found this diagram online. It shows the arched back as a sign of pre-molting.

There are many reasons why shrimp arch their backs, just like there may be many reasons why humans arch their backs sometimes (e.g. to reach stuff on the floor, scratch your ankle, stretch, imitate an angry cat etc. etc.). Arched backs are definitely *not* a sign of a molt coming up.
