Anyone have experience with springtails on biofilm?

I suspect the presence of springtails may be a reflection of a well established ecosystem. But my tank was established in 2013 and it never had springtails before so I'm leery of this change. They can't be removed without destroying the biofilm.

The springtails are mostly on top of the biofilm, where the shrimp can't quite get to them. They were also on the lid of the tank, which I've cleaned up. Any advice from someone who's had springtails in their tank?

I have some tanks with springtails. No idea where they came from, but they seem to not mind the brackish water. They are completely harmless and seem to just feed off the biofilm. I'm sure when they finally die they fall onto the water surface and then eventually become shrimp food.
