Change the substrate as well. Is lapillus an active substrate? Either way not an ideal one IMO.

I do not see a calcium source in the tank, unless the mixed quartz is. It is needed for buffering. A chunk of cuttle bone works well as do crushed egg shells.

Actually a calcium source is not needed. I would not suggest using either cuttlebone or eggshells.

Why? I always use a calcium source in all 13 of my tanks and they are healthy and actively breeding. It is recommended by Mustafa.
