Hi guys, so my tank has only been cycling for about 3 weeks.
Its a 90l tank with black fine gravel and a load of lava rock and some White rock for the calcium.
I used RO water and added microbe lift reef salt to make it brackish
I chucked in a bag full of MTS and fed them some food and over several days added microbe lift bacteria to help cycle tank
I have lots of surface biofilm and its all over the glass. Temp is at 22 degrees at moment with a heater in on minimum ( I live in the UK ) but looking to take heater out as room temp is normally about 20 degree. There is not filter.
My parameters are
SG - 1.060
Phosphate - 0.05
Nitrate - 0
Ammonia - 0
PH - 6.8
Kh - 6
Thinking salinity might be high, if so, do I just take domes water out and top off with RO water ???
I have also grabbed a large handful of very green algae gravel from one of the LFS reef tanks to help seed my tank with algae. Their is no live rock or creatures in there tank just fish and the gravel. Not added the algae gravel yet. ???
Any advice please, is it nearly super shrimp ready.
Is my tank about ready for shrimp

Basically once the tank is growing algae its ready.

As Varanus said. You can try that salinity if you want for a while and see if you get reproduction, but about half ocean salinity (about 1.010 to 1.012sg) has proven to work splendidly.
