Uggg...so I tested for ammonia again on Sunday and the results are below. Greenish...$%^&%$%^*$%^$%^ :x

I did about a 60% water change and pulled out the shells, rocks and plastic plants to rinse them thoroughly.

Fred and the snails seem fine, but Fred is still very pale.

Ammonia, Nitrates/Nitrites, PH are all normal. So I assume I just leave things be. I assume the cloudiness and odor are normal? Thanks!

Wow! These little guys are hard OR I am an idiot...likely the later. So after my fiasco with the cucumber turning the water cloudy I ordered some of those algae eater tabs you guys recommended. I saw Fred!!! I just hope he is okay. So the guy at the petstore said to give my 2 Nerite snails cucumber and romaine...which I did. Now the water is very cloudy and the snails are out of the water at the top of the aquarium. I just added some fresh water (same PPT) to dilute...did I see Fred ...

Okay, I have had dogs since I was four, fostered over 300 animals, licensed wildlife rehabber...but this little shrimp....OMG...I have never been so stressed over an animal. BECAUSE I NEVER SEE HIM...okay I see him maybe once every 2 days. I have not seen him for 3 days now. His is still translucent ...

One other question....does he have to have algae if I am feeding him a fish flake and a vegetarian fish pellet every two weeks? thanks!

Update on Fred:

Overall he seems to be doing okay in his new aquarium. He is still translucent so it is hard to see him. I have seem him swim a little. But mostly he just sits there. I have not seen him eat his fish flake first hand. I got him a new light that will be here tonight as the one that ...
