Thanks *again* for the update! :) I especially love the small mossball "babies"/buds/mini-mossballs in the first picture. I'm assuming they are from the one mossball you bought almost exactly three years ago. Anyone who still thinks there are the same as "marimo" balls...when was the last time ...

Well it's coming up on three years since I started my Supershrimp tank and I have well over 200 shrimp, more snails than i can count or ever see, and a bunch of small moss ball "buds".

My shrimp tank has two mossballs now. The original one i got from mustafa split into two pieces, they are both relatively small but i have ten or so small baby mossball "dots" scattered about my tank. I will get pics if I can get that good of a close up. They are small!

Awesome! Not bad at all for having started with 10 Shrimp not too long ago. You probably have even more shrimp in there as shrimp are notoriously hard to count. They'll continue reproducing...your 2.5g tank will probably have 2-4 times that number of shrimp at some point.

So i tried to count yesterday... I'm well over 150 shrimp in my 2.5 gallon tank.

It's my experience that Dwarf Hermits needs to be fed pretty frequently. So, if you aren't feeding it weekly or every other week at least, you probably should. I feed mine a mix of Hikari Carb pellets and and Hikari Algae wafer. I alternate between the two every week. I put five little crab pellets ...

This is normal. The female holds onto them until they wiggle themselves free. It usually happens pretty quickly so that may be why you didn't see it before.

Photo update of my shrimp tank!

My shrimp tank population is exploding right now! I have over seventy shrimp and tons of larvae floating around. It might be time to start another tank!

I've done both the "throw them in there and hope they acclimate" method as well as the "slow acclimation by dripping in brackish water into the freshwater" method. I only had one snail die and that was during the slow drip method. In my experience Horned Nerites can survive either.
