Finally found time to take a trip to the springs, took samples of the water and rocks too. According to my preliminary diagnostics, I estimate the rocks are mostly composed of CaCO3, precise tests will be taken later to prove this. Found lots of shrimp (pics), no need for too much explanation!

Neon, from what I've heard from Australian hobbyists, most of the shrimp available to them are native. Lots of macrobrachium, especially. They have very strict import laws regarding livestock, so I think pet dwarf shrimp are ...

Very nice pictures, thanks for sharing. I too have bumble bee shrimps that look very much like the one you showed. I have a berried female and the eggs can hatch any day/moment now :D
