Using this kind of fertilizer will kill RCS in long run ?

It has a very tiny amount of copper in it .

I have seen planted aq who have been treated by these and have Red Cherries in them doin just fine !

So is it ok to use them with RCS ? or RCS ...

TANK SETUP

2.5 G with playsand substrate with small pebble white gravel on top.
Box Filter and JAVA Fern with Xmas Moss and some Riccia on bottom.
Temp never above 73F or below 70F.

So do you think I should use those to increase the PH ?

After posting the above question string in last Dec 2005.

I had two Crystal Reds with eggs and they had some babies but none survived more than 10 days.

During the pregnancy I separated the females and put them in below 23C Temp setup with very clean water (With weekly water changes of 20%) in a ...

So you think if I bring down the Temp to 73F , it will help CRYSTAL and will not hurt Cherry Reds also !
How about the acidity of the water. I read that Crystal like acidic water .

I am trying to breed Crystal Red Shrimp and Cherry Red in 15 G Tank with sand substrate.
Temp avg 74 to 78 F , it has nano filter and air stone .

Both these shrimp types are in same tank.

CRS are breeding like rabbits however my Crystal Red Shrimp count is same for last 4 months. I see lot of ...

If I get dwarf 8 puffers will they go for the CRS or they will be happy eating snails only .

Or I will have to start harvesting snails with daily food bait.

I have found that my CRS tank has acquired some unwanted snail’s i.e. Ramhorn, Trumpet and common tiny freshwater snails.
Looks like they were hiding in the plants that I got for the tank.

Any idea how do CRS cope with these, is it ok to have snails or I should start getting worried.
